Why do I need a University email address?
Helpful information about the requirement of a University email address.
Your University email address identifies you as a member of the University – it is reliable, secure and can be accessed from anywhere via https://office365.ncl.ac.uk.
When you use your University email to contact your School or to seek help from the IT Service Desk, Student Services, etc, will mean that you can be identified quickly and easily.
All official University communications will be sent to your University email address, so you should check this regularly, which you agree to do when you complete your registration with the University via the Student Portal.
In the event that you are unable to access your University email and need assistance, you can use your personal email address to contact us, but please make sure you indicate your full name, School and student number.
