What should I do if I, or others in my student house, feel that we are being harassed by our neighbours?
Helpful information for students who feel they are being harassed by neighbours.
If you feel that you are being harassed by your neighbours, and have been unable to resolve this by talking with them, contact Operation Oak or Northumbria Police. In the first instance, we suggest emailing centralnptuniversity@northumbria.police.uk. You can also seek advice from the Campus Police Officer.
If you have feel unsafe or have been subjected to threatening behaviour please call 999.
You can also raise queries and concerns about issues in the community with Emma Candlish, Student Liaison Co-ordinator at Northumbria Police, again via centralnptuniversity@northumbria.police.uk. Alternatively, you can contact the Student Progress Service via casework@ncl.ac.uk who can liaise with Emma on your behalf. Please note that while the University will support you as much as possible in raising concerns about inappropriate behaviour, we have no jurisdiction to investigate the conduct of non-students.
