What is the Opportunity Scholarship for undergraduate students?

Helpful information for undergraduate students about the Opportunity Scholarship.

The Opportunity Scholarship is the University’s bursary for undergraduate students with a household income of £35,000 a year or below. You do not need to apply for the scholarship, we will consider all eligible applicants automatically. However, you need to share your household income details with Student Finance England (or equivalent) in order to be considered. Many students share their household incomes as part of their Maintenance Loan applications.

If your household income is £25,000 or below you will receive £2,000 every year of your course as long as you continue to meet the scholarship criteria. If your household income is £25,001 to £35,000 you will receive £1,000, as long as you continue to meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship.

There are exceptions and not all students qualify for the Opportunity Scholarship, please visit our website to find out more.
