What is the Opportunity Scholarship for Final Year MBBS and BDS Students?

Helpful information for undergraduate students about the Opportunity Scholarship for Final Year MBBS and BDS Students.

The Opportunity Scholarship for Final Year MBBS and BDS students is the University’s bursary for final year MBBS and BDS undergraduate students with a household income of £40,000 a year or below. You do not need to apply for the scholarship, we will consider all eligible applicants automatically. However, you need to have shared your household income details with Student Finance England (or equivalent) in the previous academic year in order to be considered. Many students share their household incomes as part of their Maintenance Loan applications.

If your household income is £25,000 or below you will receive a one-off payment of £2,000. If your household income is £25,001 to £35,000 you will receive a one-off payment of £1,000. If your household income is £35,001 to £40,000 you will receive a one-off payment of £500.
