I've had an email or message asking me to pay my tuition fees. Is this a scam?
Helpful information for students about scams and online fraud.
We are aware of criminals targeting students through scams and online fraud.
You should remain vigilant against scam emails, Action Fraud has advice on how to spot scam emails.
We will never contact you on social media or a messaging app (e.g. Instagram, WhatsApp, WeChat) to request payment of fees.
If you are unsure whether a message requesting tuition fee payment is from Newcastle University please forward the message to tuition-fees@ncl.ac.uk and ask for confirmation that it is genuine.
Tuition fees should always be paid directly to the University by yourself or someone you trust, using a University-approved payment method.
