I would like to bring my family (partner and child) to the UK to accompany me during my studies, can I apply for a visa for them?

If you are starting a programme of study before 1 January 2024, your family members can join you if you are studying on a full-time postgraduate programme of 9 months or longer (or 6 months if you are a government sponsored student).

However, if you are starting a programme of study on or after the 1 January 2024, your family members can join you if you are studying on a programme which is a PhD or other doctoral qualification, or a research-based higher degree.
