I have registered with the University - why can't I log onto Canvas?

Guidance for students who have just registered and cannot yet access Canvas.

If you have just registered with the University today, your access to Canvas will be activated overnight. Please try logging onto Canvas again tomorrow.

If it has been more than 24 hours since you registered, please ensure you have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) set up.

If you still have issues logging onto Canvas, please contact the IT Service Desk https://www.ncl.ac.uk/itservice/support/itservicedesk/

INTO students – please note it can take longer for you to get access to Canvas, as your registration is done for you by the INTO staff, so please allow at least 48 hours before contacting the IT Service Desk.
