Do I need a Smartcard?
Helpful information for students about Smartcards.
If you are going to be studying on the Newcastle campus, you will need to have a Smartcard and carry it at all times. You will also often need to scan your Smartcard to confirm your attendance at lectures. There’s advice at https://services.ncl.ac.uk/itservice/core-services/smartcards/ on obtaining a Smartcard.
