When will I receive my Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies Statement (CAS)?

Advice for students awaiting a CAS statement.

Undergraduate applicants and students

Before your CAS statement can be issued, you will need to have met all the conditions of your offer and accepted your offer in UCAS. We will be in touch with you when we begin to issue CAS statements.

Please note that a CAS statement can't be used to apply for a Student Visa more than 3 months before the start date of your course.

Postgraduate applicants and students

CAS statements will be issued before your studies begin. You will need to have accepted your offer, met any conditions, and paid your deposit (or provided formal proof of sponsorship).

First, we’ll send you a Confirmation of a Place (COP) document, followed by an email asking you to login to the application portal and confirm your details for your Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) statement. You should check all of the information on this is correct. If there are any alterations that need to be made, you will need to note them on the form and we’ll update the details on your CAS. You should also contact PG Admissions if your study plans have changed, and you no longer intend to study at Newcastle University this academic year.
