Can I get a refund of my travel costs if I arrive at University to find my lectures/seminars are cancelled due to strike action?
Guidance about travel costs if students arrive at University to find lectures/seminars are cancelled due to strike action.
If you arrive on campus to find that all of your scheduled teaching events are cancelled due to strike action, you may submit a claim for your travel costs to be refunded.
You should complete a Travel and Expenses form and return it to:
Industrial.Action.Enquiries@ncl.ac.uk
Please ensure you include a signature on the form.
You will also need to provide:
- Your travel tickets (scanned copies are acceptable)
- A list of the teaching events that were cancelled on the day (date, time, module code)
Once the details have been checked with the relevant school, you will receive an email confirming the outcome of your claim and advised when the payment will be made.
Should you have any questions or require support with completing the form, please contact Industrial.Action.Enquiries@ncl.ac.uk.
