How long am I expected to spend answering a take-home exam?

Guidance for students on how long to spend completing a take-home exam.

Take-home exams will usually be given to you for a 24-hour time period, however, you are not expected to spend the full amount of time working on them. Your school will provide you with information on how long you should spend working on your take-home exam. The assessment will be designed to be worked on for a much shorter period in line with the length of a standard exam sitting.

The reason for adopting a 24 hour period is to allow all students, regardless of the time-zone in which they are completing the assessments, to have sufficient day-time hours to complete the work and submit it before the deadline.
