Will maintenance loans for UK undergraduate students increase from September 2025?

Yes, recognising that living costs have increased in recent years, the Government has approved an increase in maintenance loans of 3.1%.

The maximum maintenance loan amount has failed to keep pace with inflation in recent years. The increases in maintenance loans are needed to help students with the rising cost of living.
