FAQs for Parents
The compensation payment I have been offered is not enough to recognise the disruption caused to my studies by the industrial action. How can I claim further compensation?
The compensation offers that have been made to date are in recognition of missed teaching that has not been repeated or replaced in a timely manner up to the end of Semester 2 of the 2024-25 academic year.
Students still have the option to make an individual complaint regarding other impacts of the industrial action, such as loss of supervision, or they can decline their offer and submit an individual complaint under the University’s Student Complaints and Resolution Procedure.
A Quick Guide to the Student Complaints and Resolution Procedure is available and we recommend that you consult this before submitting your complaint. Please ensure that you submit full documentary evidence to support your case. Complaints will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with the procedure.
Students who have questions about the compensation framework, can contact us via the Industrial Action Enquiries Form.
