Will the current IT issues affect how I register at the start of the new academic year?

Up-to-date guidance on how to register for the 2020/21 academic year.

At the moment our S3P registration system is down, but we are aware of this and we have put arrangements in place so that new and continuing students can register for the 2020/21 academic year.

If you have already received an email from us with a registration link then this will no longer work. Please don’t worry – we are fully aware of this problem and we have put measures in place to make sure all new and continuing students can register. Please check your emails as you should have received an email from us detailing how to register. If you think you should have received that email but haven’t, please contact us on student-registration@ncl.ac.uk.

New students

In order to complete your registration you need to complete a registration form by the 21st September 2020.

Undergraduate registration form

Postgraduate registration form

In order to complete registration, you must ensure that you have arrangements in place to complete your tuition fee payment. You can find up to date guidance regarding Student Finance here.

Continuing students

The S3P system where you would normally complete registration is currently down as a result of the cyber incident at Newcastle University. We want to reassure you that all our students who are due to progress to the next stage of study, and do not currently have any outstanding financial or academic commitments to the University, will be registered for the start of term.

If you need to make any outstanding payments to the University from the previous academic year, we will contact you directly to remind you and give you further instructions on how to make those payments so we can allow you to be registered.

If you are self-funding (i.e. not funded by the Student Loans Company or sponsored), we will contact you directly, shortly after Registration has been completed, to let you know how much needs to be paid and give you further instructions on how to make those payments.

In the meantime, if you wish to make a tuition fee payment now, payments can be made by debit/credit card via our online portal.  Other methods of payment can be found on the Tuition Fees website. Please quote your full student number when making payment.

If you do not wish to be registered to continue your studies for the academic year 2020/21, please contact student-registration@ncl.ac.uk.

If you couldn’t find the answer to your question, you can contact us with specific and urgent enquiries here.
