My course requires me to be present-in-person for my teaching but I am nervous about returning to campus. Is it safe?

Present-in-person teaching

Keeping our students and colleagues safe is our main priority, so we have put appropriate measures in place. These include adapting our facilities to allow for physical distancing, one-way systems, increased cleaning, and a requirement to wear face coverings.

We are asking students and staff to closely monitor their symptoms, and have issued thermometers to help with this. If you have symptoms, you should report this to us via our Symptom Tracker, which is available through the University app or online. The data you give us will only be used to identify and manage potential outbreaks.

If you have an urgent need that cannot wait until the next working day (Monday-Friday) – call us:

  • Between 10am and 4pm (Monday - Friday) and 11am - 2pm (Saturday and Sunday) call the COVID Enquiry Line on 0191 222 5101

Outside of these hours call Security on 0191 208 6817 (available 24/7)
