London Campus Students: I am travelling to London for the first time and will need to quarantine. What should I do when I arrive in London?

Information for students who need to quarantine on arrival at Newcastle University London.

As soon as you have booked your travel to London you should let us know by filling out the relevant form here. We’ll then get in touch to provide some information and advice to help you with your quarantine period.

When you arrive in London you should travel directly to the accommodation where you will be self-isolating.  If you are arriving into one of London’s airports then we recommend you book an airport pickup to take you directly to your accommodation. You can book this through our admissions team by contacting at least 5 working days before you arrive. Please include your application ID number (IN:E) in the subject line of the email. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from all London airports or major train stations. Make sure to have the address of your accommodation and some cash ready. If you use public transport to get to your accommodation, please familiarise yourself with the government guidelines for using public transport safely. If you do use public transport wear a face covering and stay 2-metres apart from other people. Pack a face covering before you travel. If you have coronavirus symptoms, you will not be allowed to travel by public transport and will need to demonstrate that the accommodation where you will self-isolate is safe.

Once you have arrived at your accommodation and started your self-isolation, please fill out this form so we can identify any support that you may need.
