What should I do if I am experiencing antisocial behaviour in my accommodation?

Helpful information about antisocial behaviour in University accommodations.

All students are expected to follow the Student Charter for behaviour whilst at University, this includes living in University accommodation. Living in a large community such as University residences can be very different to living at home, as everyone has different levels of tolerance when it comes to noise. Please be considerate of your neighbours, especially at night, as noise travels.

The ResLife Team can provide advice and support to help you settle into University life and learn new skills. The majority of students will enjoy a trouble-free stay with us, but if you are experiencing antisocial behaviour, please contact us to ensure that this is dealt with.

University Security patrol our student villages out of hours and offer assistance to students when required. You can contact them 24 hours a day, 7 days week by phoning 0191 208 6817 or by using the Safezone app. They can also be contacted through the Help point by reception.

The University disciplinary process ensures that unacceptable behaviour is not tolerated and fines or other sanctions are applied to those responsible.
