What are Enrichment Weeks and when will they take place?

Throughout the year there will be Enrichment weeks designed by your academic school to support and enhance your learning and student experience. We want students to encourage students to find out more and take time to pause, reflect and explore.

These weeks may also be used for catch-up teaching sessions. Where you have teaching sessions, you are expected to engage with these in the same way as you would in all other teaching weeks.

Enrichement week 16-20 November 2020 involves an interesting and diverse range of activities in which you can:

  • Pre-enrol on our research conference– where our researchers give presentations and lead discussions to showcase some of the research undertaken in the Newcastle University Centres of Research
  • Engage in a range of webinars, live events and resources from the Careers Service, Language Resource Centre, Student Health and Wellbeing and Students’ Union.

As well as the excellent events in Enrichment Week, visit our blog for ideas on things to do in lockdown and different entertainment services available free or at a discount to our students.

Enrichment Weeks will take place in the 2020/21 academic year:

  • 16 – 20 November 2020
  • 25 – 29 January 2021 (also Semester 2 induction week)
  • 1 – 5 March 2021
