What safety measures has the University put in place to manage the Covid-19 pandemic?

When you are able to join us on campus you can collect a safety pack containing a thermometer, a reusable and washable face covering and a refillable hand sanitiser bottle, together with instructions on how to use them. You will be able to refill the personal hand sanitisers, free of charge, from the many hand sanitiser dispenser units across campus. You can collect your safety pack from the Level 2 Helpdesk in the King’s Gate building. 

University health and safety is our priority, so we’ve put in place targeted cleaning measures across all our facilities, computer clusters and catering outlets. Screens and barriers will be installed where required to support physical distancing, wipes and hand sanitiser will be available at various locations across campus to ensure we're among the safest universities to attend during this testing time. 

We will be asking all students and staff to closely monitor for symptoms of Covid-19 including checking your temperature if you think it’s high. If symptoms are apparent you will be able to report this via the student app and the data received will be analysed to try and identify trends that may point to an outbreak in the University community.
