I am an international student. Why should I pay higher fees than a UK/EU student for remote/virtual teaching?
Find out more about the differences in fees for UK and EU/International students
Home students pay a tuition university fee which is lower than the international student fee. This is because for UK/EU students, in addition to the tuition fee the University receives from the student, the University receives recurrent grant funding from the Government for each student, plus capital and initiative funds that are targeted specifically for the support of UK/EU students.
We do not receive this funding for our international students, and as a result, this is included in the higher tuition fee for international students.
