If I need to quarantine on arrival, is there anything additional I should pack?

Information on what to pack.

If you need to take medication, make sure that you bring enough medication to cover you for both the 10 days of quarantine and for an additional period in the event that you become ill whilst you are self-isolating.

Students in University accommodation will not be able to use the laundry facilities whilst they are self-isolating, so bring enough clothes for your 10 day quarantine period.

As you are going to be isolation for 10 days, we recommend that you bring things to keep yourself entertained. Why not download your favourite movies or boxsets? You could also pack books or download a podcast and learn a language.

If you need to quarantine on your arrival in the UK and are staying in University managed accommodation, you must email residences.admin@newcastle.ac.uk in advance of your arrival. When you arrive, you must then complete our Covid-19 Reporting Form. Please be sure to include the dates of your quarantine.

Report : tell us that you are self-isolating through the Covid-19 reporting form, so that we can support you.

Covid support: If you have a Covid-19 related enquiry, you can contact us by email covidsupport@ncl.ac.uk or the Covid Enquiry Line on 0191 222 5101 (open 11am-2pm, Monday-Friday).
