Industrial Action: Compensation

I have received a compensation offer, but it does not cover all the modules that were affected. How can I request additional compensation?

The compensation offers that have been made to date are in recognition of missed teaching that has not been repeated or replaced in a timely manner up to the end of Semester 2 of the 2024-25 academic year.

The compensation offer is based on the number of modules which have been recorded on our systems as having been disrupted by industrial action.

If you believe that more of your modules were disrupted than those covered by your compensation offer, you will need to submit an individual complaint under the University’s Student Complaints and Resolution Procedure

A Quick Guide to the Student Complaints and Resolution Procedure is available and we recommend that you consult this before submitting your complaint. Please ensure that you submit full documentary evidence to support your case. Complaints will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with the procedure.

Students who have questions about the compensation framework, can contact us via the Industrial Action Enquiries Form
