London Campus Students: I am travelling to London for the first time and will need to quarantine. What should I do when I arrive in London?

Information for students who need to quarantine on arrival at Newcastle University London.

Please check the latest advice from the UK government and the university before you travel.

If you are permitted to travel to the UK, as soon as you have booked your travel to London you should let us know by filling out our quarantine support form here.

We’ll then get in touch to provide some information and advice to help you with your quarantine period.

When you arrive in London, if you haven’t travelled from/through a country on the UK’s red list in the last 10 days, you should travel directly to the accommodation where you will be self-isolating.  If you are arriving into one of London’s airports then we recommend you book an airport pickup to take you directly to your accommodation. You can book this here. It must be booked at least 5 working days before you arrive.

If you have travelled through or from a country on the UK’s red list in the 10 days before your arrival, you will be escorted straight to a designated quarantine hotel. You can arrange this here. After your quarantine period is over, you will be escorted back to the airport. You can book transport from the airport to your accommodation here. This must be booked at least 5 working days before required.

Once you have arrived at your accommodation and started your self-isolation, please fill out this form so we can identify any support that you may need.

You can find more information about travelling to the UK and quarantine here.
