FAQs for Parents
I am a Doctoral or MPhil student and I have a Project Approval or Annual Progress Review deadline coming up, how will the marking and assessment boycott have affected me?
Standard procedures require both Project Approval (PA) and Annual Progress Review (APR) to involve an impartial panel of two Newcastle members of staff to review and comment on documents submitted by you and your supervisory team, before making a recommendation to the Dean of Postgraduate Studies.
Now that the marking and assessment boycott has ended, Graduate Schools will be reviewing Project Approval and Annual Progress Review workflows to identify any activities that have been delayed and will be liaising with Academic Units and relevant Dean of Postgraduate Studies, to progress these as soon as possible.
If you have any queries about the status of your examination, please contact your Graduate School, who will be able to provide you with an update.
