How can I access the 'Test for Release' Scheme?

Before Monday 17th May 2021

If you have not travelled through or from a country on the UK’s red list in the 10 days before your arrival in the UK, you must travel directly to your accommodation and self-isolate for 10 days. You may be able to end your quarantine early through the ‘Test to Release’ scheme should you wish to. This scheme is voluntary but you will still need to take the tests on days 2 and 8 following your arrival.

The ‘Test for Release’ scheme is not available for students who have travelled from or through a country on the UK’s red list in the 10 days before arrival in the UK.

After Monday 17th May 2021

From Monday 17th May 2021, the UK will enter a ‘traffic light’ system for international travel.

You can only access the ‘Test to Release’ Scheme if you are travelling from an amber country.
